I'm using PageMaker 6.5 for Win95. I've placed a Windows Metafile (*.wmf) graphic in a PageMaker document. Even though there is two colours, red and black, in the graphic it either prints on the black plate or the red plate. And even though I set colours to be printed in black the red part of the graphic comes out greyish. How do I deal with that?

I've tried to split the graphic into two parts to be colour managed separately, but unfortunately the black part always appears as a box containing the actual drawing, thus leaving some unwanted space where the red background doesn't show.
