Importing Color Graphics in PM65

I've changed from a Mac to a Pc and having trouble getting color separations. I've tried importing color graphics I've created in Illustrator and they are just ignored. I've saved the files as Illustrator 7.0 files, Illustrator EPS and exported to TIF. Sometimes the TIF will work and other times not. Am I missing something? I am totally stumped here. I've never run across anything like thiss. Please help.
