I'm currently working for a company that does contract work for one of the Big 3 auto companys. Every day I do desktop publishing work with Adobe Photo Shop 4.0, PageMaker 6.0 (boss won't get 6.5), fractal painter, etc...

I was editor of my HS yearbook, and I've been doing desktop publishing for about 5 years now. Basically, my boss is very cheap and is underpaing everyone within the company. I started out getting paid $8.50 an hour to do this type of thing, I've gotten compliments on my work from various people. Baically, what kind of pay should people in my area be making per hour? I want to go in there and ask for more money, but I want to make sure I have an idea first.

Any information on how much money people get paid to do this kind of thing would be very appreciated- I feel like I'm living just above poverty level!
