I think while you're probably grossly underpaid (without seeing the complexity of what you're doing), it doesn't mean your cheap boss is going to give you any more money regardless of what you know or what degree you have. I've got a BFA and 20 years experience. Cheap clients or bosses just want more money for themselves. If you're truly disatisfied you should begin looking, even surfing the web for job listings in your area. Adweek is on-line and free to browse the classifieds. While a degree might help, a strong portfolio is usually more impressive.
