I think it's a fortunate thing to have worked with both programs
like i have to appreciate the real differenes of the two. I went from loathing Quark to loving it,
and went from loving Pagemaker to feeling limited by it. When
it comes to text, I feel that there is a stronger dexterity
and freedom working in Quark rather than pagemaker,
however, when it comes to basic functions like making a text
box, bringing in graphic files, and printing quark requies two
steps as oppose to PM's one. I get pissed so many times
on the days I'v worked with both appz and when I'm working with Quark
and I'm drawing a text box only to have to stop and switch to the CONTENT TOOL
in order to write. anyway, if you can put up with that extra footwork, then I say quark is your best bet.
