Just wondering how you computed cost. Most color printers are slow, consumables are expensive, you tie up your printer (as you're finding out) and sometimes your computer for incredible stretches. Not to mention if your computer locks up with pages in queue you may end up with pages printed without appropiate fonts (if you use a font utility), images, etc. There are a lot of service bureaus that will print color for less than you might be paying for the overall cost of your in-house printer.
