Publisher is more intuitive for the beginner user, but Pagemaker will produce much better results if you are doing any serious publication work. Since you are familiar with Publisher and its use of text boxes, it is possible that Quark Express might be a another excellent choice. It is more difficult to learn although there are good books available to help you learn any package you choose. I still use Publisher for easy jobs but prefer PageMaker for higher end work.
