: I am new to DTP. My new job basically includes coming up with marketing strategies AND implementing them by means of brochures, newsletters and marketing packages.
: Although I find my work challenging and satisfying (hey I've only been working here for three months!), I have been a little nervous about the printing aspect. My boss asked ME which would be more cost-effective--in house printing or commercial. I found this site by chance and felt reassured by Bruce Little's response to "breakin' into the business." For my company's needs at this time, in-house printing is the best way to go.
: I, too, have an Epson 3000 and it works beautifully. However, it is so slow! It literally takes all day to print 30 one-page color newsletters, not to mention it's probably hard on the printer. I have been putting feelers out for a laser printer and I hear the Tektronics Phaser 740 is great. Anyone have any experience with the Phaser series printers?
: Thanks for your input!
