I understand that most of you have some experience in this field (from reading the DTP Talk on the net). I too have been thinking of this. I am a "dowonsized, partially disabled, full time student, respiratory therapist who wants to work from my home when I have free time.
Presently I have 2 486, PC's ...one 33, 200 m. HD, one 75 mhz, 500 m. HD, that I can work with. The desktop has a CD, and I am planning to purchace an external CD and ZIP drive for the laptop.
Besides a decent printer, what equipment should I purchace(Presently a new system is out of the question. New one to be purchaced in Jan. 1999).
Which software packages are easiest for a beginner to begin learning? I am taking a course in DTP in college, but none of the software is available to us.
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.
