: Help! Everyone is talking Quark this and Quark that. Wouldn't it make more sense to use Pagemaker if using other Adobe products ie: illustrator, photoshop...or is Quark that much superior?

Jeff,
Using Pagemaker just because it's put out by the same company as the other products (Ill, PS) would yield little or no benefit or advantage that I'm aware of. I started with Publish-It Easy!, graduated to Pagemaker, and then moved to Quark. Quark is MORE accepted as the industry standard, but Pagemaker has gained serious ground as of late. Quark is overdue for an upgrade to v4.0, and has gone past projected release dates on the new version. Most service bureaus and print shops will accept projects from either program, but it is generally understood that Quark is more prevalent and perhaps preferred. Best advice is to check with the shop that you're bringing your work to to see that they are okay with the one you use.
