: I use a macintosh and I have an Accuset 1000 running viper 1.5.1. Unfortunately, I have never used MS Word at all. Are you using the ppd file for the accuset1000? The ppd for my machine is AGAC1000.ppd, but I am on macintosh so it would be different for PC. I know that's a pretty dumb question, but I thought I'd better ask that first.
: If MS Word doesn't, for some reason, allow you to use that "ppd", try this:
: Create a generic postscript file. Make sure the page is bigger than what you need.
: Then distil with acrobat distiller to create a pdf file. Then export that as an eps file from within adobe acrobat or acrobat reader. (NOTE: it is very important that you set the "postscript level" at "level one", NOT "two" or "three". There is too much information in the others. I'll tell you why later.)
: Then you need to place the file into a document created by a Desktop Publishing program such as Adobe Pagemaker, Quark Express or Adobe Indesign. As long as you have your "ppd" set up correctly in either of those programs you should be able to separate the files through the print dialog box and print to file. If the "postscript level is anything but "level one" it can, and most times does, return a postscript error. It can cause all kinds of probelms with Quark Express too, locking up files and so on.
: I know you asked how to print from MS Word, and as I said earlier I have never used MS Word, but I have given you an alternative. Perhaps you allready know of this technique. This is all based on the assumption that you have either Pagemaker, Quark express, on Indesign. I hope this has helped you in some way. I would be facinated to know how you go.
