: I am look for tip to add to my site concerning the use of inkjet transfer paper
: If anybody has any please post.
: Here's what I've found so far
: If your colors do not turn out right
: I calibrate my scanner to the shirt color I am using by printing a calibration bar on the transfer paper. Than I transfer the calibration bar to shirt. I then scan the shirt to let the scanner make
: color correction. Please note that the image you get on the screen will not look right when you calibrate you system to the shirt color, but it will print alright. Remember to save your setting for later use.
: Ink bleeding.
: This is a good sign than the transfer was not pressed or heated properly. The manufacture says 20 seconds. I press for 30 seconds and do not do a pre wash. I have never had a bleeding problem using this technique. A sure sign of ink bleeding is if there is color left on the transire paper.
: Printer ink settings.
: Set your print to high quality glossy paper. If you do not have this option try to reduce the ink dispensing by 25% to 50%. I do not recommend a hand iron-on. I loose a lot of sells telling people this. There only good for names and small designs.
: Sometimes you will find that a little peice of the transfer did not transfer to the shirt. This can be do to a pieces of lint or the transfer got damaged. Use something hot like a soldering iron,
: and using the transfer material on the shirt, simply pull the transfer material list the bare spot. Do not over heat.
: thanks in advance
