Hi,
I know of a couple of things that might help you. First off, there is a piece of software available called MacDrive95. You can investigate it at http://www.media4.com After you get it installed, it will open Mac disks, format, copy, convert to MacBinary etc all as if it is part of your system. You dont have to open another program to make the conversions. Second, Adobe Illustrator 7 for both Mac and Windows will be out very very shortly. Photoshop, PageMaker 6.5 and Illustrator togethter are going to make a powerful package for the PC that will finally eliminate any previous compatibility problems. Adobe has announced After Affects for Windows as well. I believe Framemaker is something that was made specifically for the PC only. I think cross-platform is where everthing is going. You can do table of contents with PageMaker. I think the advantage of PageMaker over Quark is going to be how smoothly it works with other Adobe componants. People are going to be surprised what is coming down the pike. I had to do a proof the other day and my printer is a Lazor b/w. I needed pretty accurate color. In this instance I made an ai file, went to a local "self serve" that has a Tectronic hooked up to a Mac, loaded up my file and printed it out. The colors are perfect and I have something to show my customer that he can choose from. Thats how easy it is to make a file that can be worked with and its going to get better. It will shortly be quite apparant that arguing over which platform is better is a total waste of time and energy.
Have fun...
