I do regular typesetting for a local print shop. I made a typing error
on a job that the printshop brokered out to another company.
Unfortunately, I don't have any proof that the mistake was definitely my
fault (of course, the print shop says it was). Now the print shop wants
to charge me for the entire reprint of that job ($120!). I really don't
think this is fair, even if the mistake WAS my fault. I can understand
him not wanting to pay me for the typesetting part, not the entire job!!
What do you think? How would you handle this situation?
Your speedy response would be greatly appreciated, so I can resolve this
nasty situation!
