I edit (copy edit, electronic layout, production) an international quarterly newsletter for a professional association. It has a circulation of about 6,400 and runs about 48 pages per issue. I currently receive $2,500 per issue as an editorial fee. If I were not a member of the professional organization, I would not contract for this job at this rate. Now I'm in contract negotiations and I want to raise the rate to a more realistic rate, $4,000 per issue. I'm looking for some industry data that will help support my position. I would welcome any input. Thansk!
