In Reply to: Calibrating monitor for Windows NT posted by lisa on May 28, 1997 at 03:17:26:
: Hi! I need help!
: I am new to Windows NT and I am needing help on calibrating my monitor to my output device. Is there something like "gamma" in the Mac that will help me achieve this?
: Thanks
Hi!
First! In NT (or any windows program) you do not calibrate your monitor in the operating software (That is for you NT).
This because you do not calibrate the monitor to the printer, you calibrate to the paper your gonna print on!
Then the calibration starts. You calibrate each program you use. As en example Photoshop! On the file menu you find a meny caled preferences, there you'll find a new meny caled Monitor Setup!
That's the same menu as you have on the mac.
One gladly news I discovered here some days ago is that you can import the settings you have used on your mac to the pc you now are using (that is in Photoshop).
So pick a paper and go ahead!
