Problem: You want to place a Headline on top of a picture.
You want to colorize the Headline and also blend in a partial transparency of the underlying picture. Your only solution has been to import the Headline into Photoshop and convert it to the picture resolution to get the mix of text color and image values because there is not partial transparency in PostScript.
NOT FOR LONG! We will soon be releasing a plugin for Illustrator to allow you to specify partial transparency for text or paths. These will then image with full device resolution edges and contain the tint value plus the specified partial underlying image value!
