: When I use the type tool to place text on my Illustrator file it comes up fine, but when I try and load the file in Photoshop, I get the message that some fonts are unavailable (with the exception of the standard windows fonts lik Arial, Times New Roman, etc.). What's the problem?
I have the same problem. I believe the fonts are
specific to AI. I tried installing ATM, but that
didn't work.
My work around is to convert your text to outlines
(type > create outlines). This works most of the time
depending on the type style. Just make sure to make
a copy of your text in case you want to edit it as
"type" later on.
I would be interested in other people's comments on
working with type in AI and PS.
Hope this helps...Keith
