screened black appears pink on screen

I'm not sure what's going on, but colors in Illustrator 7.0.1, especially black, are not showing up correctly on screen, but are printing out fine. Black, when screened back, appears pink on screen, not gray. Colors in all the other programs on my computer appear correct on screen. I look forward to any thoughts or suggestions for a fix on this matter. Thanks. Dale Mack
