Mostly becasue of the shortsightedness of programmers.
Programmers assumed that IBM woudl corner the market
and ignored the fact that Apple was better. By focusing software
on only IBM compatibles, they almost cut the Mac out of the
picture. Another example to prove PC Programmers are shortsighted
and that PCs are worst is Y2K. Macs are Y2K compatible
PCs are not, cause PC Programmers could not look far enough
ahead. Also, if PCs are better, why did their software
developers have to try to save space by programming with only 2 digit
year entries? Macs programmed with 4 and had not problems so they
must be superior. Besides the fact that MAcs are faster, more user friendly,
more reliable, and are built by a company with long term
vision, there is not reason to buy a Mac over Pc. Macs
are more exspensive, but you get more for your money.
If you can afford the large initial sum, you will spend less inthe
long run. I work on a PC only becasue someone gave me a 233 mHz Pentium
and I can not afford to ditch it for a Mac.
