help: place images from photoshop to illustrator 5.0

Hello,

I nned to place a scanned image (in photoshop) into illustrator 5.0. I saved the image in eps format, but the output has a very low res, as far as i understand the placed image is automatically imported at 72 dpi. There must be another solution, does anybody here in this group experience with this type of problem?

Any suggestion will help.
