Illustrator/Quark

I work on a Mac at work, when I create something in Illustrator 7 and bring it into Quark 4 as an .eps it comes in with a transarent back. However when I try to creat something on my PC at home and bring it into Quark, I get a white box behind it. Does this have to do with post script printer? I have an Epson 850 but dont have the post script software yet.
Or is this something else?
Please help!
