: : : Has anyone had experiance with this program? It is available for Epson color 2 printer. Would it be useful to print Postscript in Painter and or pantone color printing??
: Boy could I tell you an earfull!!
: We have an Epson Stylus proxl color inkjet that will not print anything postscript without this program. We have recently upgraded on our mac and pc and are having nothing but problems!
: Birmy is not very helpful with tech support and we cannot get 720 dpi resolution, and our mac keeps freezing up when we try to print. Can anyone help me??
: If there is any other software out there to run for postscript I would recommend it. We are currently using an outside service bureau for color output and we have a $2000 piece of equipment doing nothing!
: I can't say how this would work with painter, but we have never been able to match pantone or process colors fromour epson using the powerrip software. Pretty sad, and frustrating!
: (I don't know if there is any color printer out there that will match pantone colors exactly!)
Birmy has just released PostScript 3 Power Rip. I use it on my Epson 500 & 1520. BUT, because they are NOT true 4-color printers (Epson 3000 is)
they are only CLOSE to Pantone color matching. I find service bueraus still offer better proofing. I use my HP 6mp for most sep work in house. The Epsons just give the customer a nice comp to hold. The PS RIP drivers allow the PS fills and textures to be printed as they are designed from FreeHand or Expression. Painter is a different thing being non-Vector.
