I have had excellent results using an Epson Inkjet printer (ESC 3000) on coated canvas from www.mediabyair.com, and also an embossed "watercolor paper" from Sentinel Imaging (www.inkjet.com). As yet I have not tried the archival inks, so I am faced with fading prints, but I will take that step soon. In the meantime I can see exactly what my work looks like on "art" media and it is far from looking computer generated. Roland has just introduced a wide format 1440 dpi, archival ink printer which appaerntly does a fantastic job- cost about $18,000 though.
HTH's, and Cheers,
Wardie
