: I have had excellent results using an Epson Inkjet printer (ESC 3000) on coated canvas from www.mediabyair.com, and also an embossed "watercolor paper" from Sentinel Imaging (www.inkjet.com). As yet I have not tried the archival inks, so I am faced with fading prints, but I will take that step soon. In the meantime I can see exactly what my work looks like on "art" media and it is far from looking computer generated. Roland has just introduced a wide format 1440 dpi, archival ink printer which appaerntly does a fantastic job- cost about $18,000 though.

Question for Wardie:
I too am looking for prints that do not look like photographs. How much does the Stylus Color 3000 cost? How much does canvas for inskjets cost? What are archival inks? And how does one make Painter 5 print larger than office-size sheets? Thanks.
