Try looking at the splash screen. If yo don't know where the serial number is then I am assuming you dont have to type it in to install or start your art dabbler for the first run. My art dabbler ask for the serial number on the first start up like painter does. The Painter 4 I received with my pen pad dosn't and the serial number is aready printed on the splash screen. If you go to help/about art dabbler and load up the splash screen is should be there. good luck, Debi
