Wacom Verses CalComp

To everybody whose experienced with using graphic tablets,

I'm a college student in the US and I intend to get a 12X12 graphic
tablet soon. So far I really have not been able to look up reviews
which really do compare both the Wacom Artz II tablet ($400) and
the CalComp Drawing Slate II($300).
Has anybody got a clue as to which one should I really invest in?
I've got a habit for long term investments even though a hundred
dollars difference means a lot to me. Please give me some advice
on the pros and cons of these two products..
