I've also been searching for a decent way to
aquire images directly into photoshop...
With a little help from the friendly staff at
machome.com, I was directed to this url...
ftp://mirror.apple.com/mirrors/Info-Mac.Archive/gst/grf/pshp/one-scan-111.hqx
-which seems to be a humble little plugin that
does indeed do the job fine but is a bit lacking if you
are a graphics professional.
There is also a bit of software titled "ScanTastic"
that's distributed by Second Glance Software.
It works as a stand alone application or in
conjunction with Quark or Photoshop (or Apps. that
accept TIF or PICT images.
-Be warned, this little baby will cost you about
ONE HUNDRED BUCKS! --get real Second Glance.
Let me know if this is of any help at all.
