: : : : You may have to many filters installed. Get "Filter factory" and create your own "catalogs" in the filtermenu.
: : : I've got different problems w/plug-in's
: : : Like if the PhotoShop folders get jarred in the least
: : : I loose filters...they just go Somewhere???
: : : Then all I've got in my arsenal are the factory few that are screwed in place.
: : : They can be used, but can't be found in the Plug=in folder
: : : The unusuable ones are visible. Whats up?

: : Did this just happen or has it been like this ever since you installed PS the first time?
: : Check file/prefs/plug-ins, and see if the correct folder for the plug-ins is set.
: Thanks Richard, that's probably just what I need to do.
: However, why are the net downloaded filters
: showing up as simple text documents instead of plug-in type icons?
: Charles
Wich version of PS do you have? I had 3.0 before and there were no icons for plugins at all! As far as I can remember.
