In Reply to: Photoshop 4.0 - Unable to create a merged layer of all layers in a document posted by Marlene Sinicki on May 29, 1997 at 12:57:20:
: Help! In Photoshop 3.0, was able to use a little known keyboard shortcut --- Option- Merge layers ---- to create a layer that merged all layers in a document and still left all the layers intact in a document. Photoshop 4.0 does not allow that functionalility. Instead, one must save off a flattened version of a document and then reopen it and paste it into the original document, which is just too many steps..
you should try taking a merged snapshot, then add a new layer and fill 100% from snapshot.
that'll work.
