: : : Is there a way in quark to have total control of the underline feature? Such as the distance from the text, selecting a double underline and setting the distance between the two lines. Thanks for any help.
: : Yes there is, it's an extension called Stars 'n Stripes. It lets you set up custom underlines with total control over line weight and spacing.
: Dennis,
: do you know, whether the stars&stripes extension is available for Windows too?

The problem with Stars'n'Stripes is that the rules created in it knock out of background screens, which can be a problem when you do a lot of textbooks, like we do. I just wish Quark had spent some time coming up with a good underline feature instead of wasting all that time and money developing artsy features we'll never use 'cause we do that stuff in Illustrator. The only good feature I can see in the new Quark is more styles allowed. On a big 4-color textbook, we were forever running up against the 127-style (or whatever) limit. C'mon guys! Do something we need!
