Quark Express 3.32 MAC problems

I am archiving my files from My Macintosh onto our Novell 3.12 server and then burning them onto a cd-rom using a Phillips Omniwriter attached to one of our NT stations. The files transfer fine but when I try to open them up on the MAC it won't open the files. It acts like the asssociation to the program has been lost. When I go into Quark and try to open the file it doesn't work either.
