Edit your "normal" style sheet & set it to the values you want (Arial 10 pt., etc.). When you draw a new text box, it will automatically default to the "normal" style and bring it in with those attributes. If you have boxes already drawn in templates, just make sure you have selected "normal" and the text will flow in in that style.
