Free QuarkXPress XTensions

  Acronyms  Is a simple formatting XTension that searches your documents for acronyms and reformats the acronyms to Small Caps. The resulting text presents less emphasis on the acronyms, (NO SHOUTING).

  Apple's XPress Archive  A bunch of nice goodies including: Cool Blends, FeaturesPlus, GuideLiner, Notes XTension, Nudger, PM Import, Professional Colour Toolkit and lots more.

  Badia Software  Offers some FREE XTensions for QuarkXPress. These include: PageView, PageFrame, OpenNow and ReplaceInPlace.

  ColorHex  Is a great little web design tool for getting web colors out of anything in any application with an eyedropper. It then shows you the RGB and gives the Hex values on the clipboard.

  Custom Slug XT for Mac OS  lets you define how the project name and layout name display in the plate information. You can choose from the pre-defined preferences for displaying the project name, the layout name, or both. The Windows version is available here.

  Edit Original  Allows you to open pictures with a default application and update modified pictures. Mac only

  fontAlertSilencer XT for Mac OS  Prevents the font error warning message while printing and exporting PDF from a QuarkXPress layout. There may be scenarios where a font is actually corrupt but the fontAlertSilencer XT will prevent the warning message about a corrupt font from appearing. However, there have been reported cases where the font is not actually corrupt but the warning message is displayed. It is up to your discretion to use or not use this XTension.

  Full-resolution Preview  See a full-resolution preview of on-screen pictures and display pictures at the file's full resolution. Scale or magnify pictures with minimal pixelation, position page elements more precisely, and create more accurate clipping paths. The Mac OS version is available here.

  GuideViewer  Allows any user to view guides you've made with Pro Grids & Guides or Cropster in their proper colors and with the locking attributes you've set. Otherwise they will appear to them as ordinary guides.

  JoJo  Makes it easier to work with both versions of QuarkXPress at the same time regarding the opening of documents by double clicking in the Finder. JoJo checks for the document version and opens it with the according version of QuarkXPress, if possible. Otherwise there is a warning, that the document was created with another version of QuarkXPress and whether it should be opened anyway.

  Meadows Utility Bundle  Is a suite of XTensions to QuarkXPress that provide a number of productivity enhancing tools. Currently, the Utility Bundle includes four XTensions to QuarkXPress (font CollectorT, Picture PlacerT, Picture NamerT, and Print SelectorT).

  Moniker  Adds a palette to QuarkXPress that allows you name objects that can be recognized by AppleScript. With Moniker, you can reference the objects by name. Nothing can be easier for applying AppleScript names.

  NaviZoom  Gives you several handy functions in a compact palette: Navigate, zoom, preview pages or spreads without rulers and palettes and see slide show of pages.

  Nudger  Adds a palette to QuarkXPress that allows you set the nudge amount for QuarkXPress items.

  Outlines XT  Takes Quark's "Text to Box" feature to the next level. Converts multiple lines, individual letters and makes outline shapes in same location, color and shade as text. Mac Only.

  PageBorder XT  Adds a border around the page or spread when the document is printed. PageBorder XT is a simple but valuable tool when printing proofs. Simply set the preferences and activate PageBorder XT in the File menu.

  PDF Boxer XT for Mac OS  Enables you to include TrimBox, CropBox, and BleedBox information while exporting a PDF file from QuarkXPress® software. The PDF Boxer XT software uses document and other PDF export settings (for example, bleed settings and registration marks) to add these objects. The Windows version is available here.

  PicBlaster  Is a simple utility that quickly deletes the imported images from your document. PicBlaster gives you the ability to delete specific picture types. You even have the option to delete the box with the imported image.

  QC Bureau Utility  Works in conjunction with GLUON QC. Drag Quark docs over the icon and it'll show you exactly what happened last time someone ran QC on the document. Mac only.

  QuarkXPress Filter for Spotlight  Enhance the capabilities of the Mac OS Spotlight feature and use this XTensions software to search contents of QuarkXPress projects such as text, font names, style sheets, and layouts.

  Today  Allows you to add printable date stamps to your QuarkXPress documents. These date stamps can be inserted into any text stream and they automatically update whenever the document is saved. Today has many formatting preferences that allow you to create the date stamps that you want.

  Ungroup All  Simply ungroups the currently selected group box and all of its sub groups.
