Battle of the Consumer Printing Programs - continued

Remember, don't write off one program over the other simple based on the amount of things you get or can do with it. If you can accomplish all you need with Print Shop, there is no need to buy Print Artist just because you get more graphics. On the other hand, if you're not planning on doing any newsletters anytime soon, the Press Writer will not do a lot for you and Express and Goo are nice extras. If you do plan to create projects with lots of text, though, at least Print Shop comes with a spell check and thesaurus and Print Artist does not.

As I stated earlier, and this is true for most software purchases, it helps to know what you plan to do first and then go buy the program that fits that need. If you have an excess of funds, buy both and you'll be covered. Finally, although I've been using Broderbund. products for years, for this particular comparison, I think I like Print Artist 4.0. If you think Print Shop will better serve you're particular need better, I don't want to discourage anyone from buy either, but if you have no preference, I think Print Artist if the over all winner for this round in the continuing battle over home printing. To make your own comparison, you can find more information on Print Shop Publishing Suite by visiting Broderbund at http://www.broderbund.com
